Discо Elysium – the ultimate open world RPG experience.
You’re a detective with a unique skill system at your disposal and a whole city block to carve your path across. Use your skills to clues to solve the biggest case of your career. Fail, and you’ll end up dead or disgraced, shoved out of the force by your overbearing captain. You might end up as a homeless wino, drunk on cheap vodka and high onunstable amphetamines. Your only friend will be the voices in your head.
But there’s more to Disco Elysium than that – much more. It’s an extraordinary, groundbreaking game, and one that’s destined to change the face of RPG gaming for years to come. And one of its defining features is its fast travel system – or lack thereof.
What is Fast Travel?
There are two ways to fast travel in Disco Elysium – through the use of Transportation Points or by using a Fast Travel Ticket.
Transportation Points are special locations that you can use to instantly travel to any other unlocked Transportation Point on the map. To use a Transportation Point, simply walk up to it and press the “use” button.
Fast Travel Tickets are items that you can purchase from certain NPCs or find lying around the world. To use a Fast Travel Ticket, select it from your inventory and choose the destination you want to travel to.
How to Fast Travel in Disco Elysium?
In Disco Elysium, you can fast travel to certain locations once you’ve discovered them. To do this, open up your map (M key) and look for the blue dots. These represent places you can fast travel to. Once you’ve found a place you want to go, simply left-click on it and your character will automatically walk there.
The Benefits of Fast Travel
There are many benefits to fast travel, especially in Disco Elysium. Fast travel allows you to move around the game world quickly and efficiently, without having to worry about getting lost or wasting time. It also means that you can easily explore different areas of the game world and find new places to visit. In addition, fast travel can help you to avoid dangerous areas of the game world, or to get out of sticky situations quickly.
The Limitations of Fast Travel
There are some limitations to fast travel in Disco Elysium. For one, you can only fast travel to locations that you have already visited. This means that if you want to explore a new area, you’ll have to do so on foot or by using the game’s map system. Additionally, fast travel takes time – depending on the distance you’re trying to cover, it could take several ingame hours for your character to reach their destination.
Tips for Fast Travel
While you’re free to explore the entirety ofRevachol’s massive map at your leisure, Disco Elysium also provides several opportunities to fast travel between key locations. Here are some tips on how to get around the city quickly and efficiently.
First and foremost, it’s important to note that you can only fast travel when you’re not in the middle of an active case. You’ll also need to have a mode of transportation—either a boat or a car—to use the Fast Travel system. Once you have those requirements met, simply open up your map and select the location you wish to travel to. If it’s available as a Fast Travel point, you’ll see an icon indicating such. From there, just sit back and let the game do the rest.
Of course, not every location in Disco Elysium is available for Fast Travel. In fact, most of them are locked behind specific quest requirements. For example, you can’t fast travel to the Red Rock district until you’ve completed the “Bloody Mess” side quest. In other words, don’t expect to use this feature too extensively early on in the game.
Still, when used sparingly and at the appropriate times, Fast Travel can be a helpful tool for keeping your investigations moving forward in a timely manner. Make sure to take advantage of it when you can!
In Disco Elysium, fast travel is unlocked after completing the quest “Methods of Travel.” Once this quest is completed, you’ll be able to use the map to fast travel to any location that you’ve already visited. To do this, simply open the map and click on the location that you want to travel to.
Disco Elysium is a rich and complex game that allows players a great deal of freedom to explore its rich world and detailed characters. While the game does not feature traditional fast travel, there are a number of ways to save time and speed up travel.
Players can use the “Run” option to move more quickly, but this will come at the expense of stamina. In order to fully resting and recover stamina, players will need to find a place to sleep. In most cases, this will be in one of the game’s many hotels, motels, or campsites.
Players can also use taxis to quickly travel between locations that have been discovered. These are marked on the map with a yellow icon, and players can hail a ride by pressing the “T” key when they are close enough to the taxi stand.
Finally, players can use the “Autopilot” feature to have their character automatically walk to their destination. This is useful for covering large distances or when players need to take a break from actively playing the game. Autopilot can be activated by pressing the “A” key on the world map.
In Disco Elysium, you’ll often find yourself having to travel across the map to different locations. While this exploration is a big part of the game, there will be times when you’ll want to get from one place to another quickly. Luckily, the game offers a fast travel system that can be used to make getting around a lot easier.
In order to fast travel in Disco Elysium, you’ll first need to find aFast Travel Point. These are marked on your map with a blue icon and can be found all over the game world. Once you’ve located a Fast Travel Point, simply approach it and press the interactions key (E by default) to activate it. Doing so will bring up a menu with all of the available fast travel options. Select the destination you want to travel to and you’ll instantly be transported there.
Keep in mind that while fast travel is available from the start of the game, you’ll need to discover Fast Travel Points before you can use them. Make sure to explore your surroundings carefully so you don’t miss any!
